XAGOD is a free persistent browser micro-MMO with nine playable classes, shared quests and a machine-made mythology you can enter instantly. Play online to save characters and explore the world with others, or start an offline single-player run with no account and no installation required.
Log in to the dream. Your Witnesses persist on the server and you share the mythology with everyone else who's inside.
Instant single-player render in your browser. Nothing is saved — a fleeting artifact, dropped without warning.
Online and offline are two distinct ways into the same browser game. Online mode stores your Witnesses on the server and places you in the persistent shared world. Offline mode begins immediately without registration, keeps the run inside the current browser session and deliberately saves nothing after the run ends.
Every new character chooses from nine playable classes. The class changes the abilities and combat rhythm available to that character, while quests, exploration and the shared mythology provide the larger progression path. XAGOD is designed as a compact micro-MMO rather than a downloadable desktop client: the game loads in a modern browser and can be entered without installing an app.
Compare all nine class guides, explore the three-zone world and its dungeons, follow the complete quest directory, meet every named quest and vendor character, or inspect the current item, reward, vendor and loot catalog before choosing a Witness.
An account is only required when you want server-side persistence and shared play. Choose offline mode to test the controls and world first; choose online mode when you want saved characters, durable progression and encounters with other players. The game is free to enter in both modes.
